Job Overview
Akshora AI Labs is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager with 6–8 years of experience in software architecture and engineering leadership. You will oversee multiple engineering squads delivering enterprise software platforms, private cloud deployments, and applied AI solutions.
About the Role
As Engineering Manager, you are accountable for the health, velocity, and technical quality of our engineering organization in Noida. Working closely with our Founder & CEO and AI CTO, you will structure cross-functional squads across full-stack, backend, and QA engineering, govern system architecture standards, remove execution bottlenecks, and drive predictable 7-to-14-day sprint handoffs as well as multi-phase enterprise rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and scale multiple engineering squads across full-stack web, backend microservices, and QA automation.
- Partner with the AI CTO and Technical Leads to review system architectures, security perimeters, and cloud infrastructure designs.
- Own end-to-end delivery predictability, resource allocation, sprint capacity planning, and release governance.
- Establish and audit engineering KPIs including deployment frequency, change failure rate, and incident recovery time.
- Lead technical hiring, onboarding, performance appraisals, and career progression pathways for engineers.
- Act as the senior technical escalation partner for enterprise client stakeholders during critical deployments.
- Enforce security, DPDP compliance, automated testing, and documentation standards across all repositories.
Technical & Leadership Requirements
- Strong architectural command over modern web stacks (Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python FastAPI, PostgreSQL) and cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to balance rapid sprint execution (7–14 day delivery windows) with long-term platform stability and security.
- Executive communication skills to translate complex engineering trade-offs for enterprise clients and company leadership.
Team Management Expectations
- Manage, mentor, and grow an engineering organization of 10–20+ developers, QA engineers, and technical leads.
- Run structured performance reviews, individual career growth plans, and technical hiring pipelines.
- Cultivate a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy engineering culture focused on shipping working code.
Performance Expectations
- Maintain >95% on-schedule milestone delivery across all concurrent client and internal product roadmaps.
- Ensure strict adherence to SLA uptime, security audits, and zero-defect client handoffs.
- Reduce onboarding ramp-up time for new engineers through standardized runbooks and modular starter architectures.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / MCA in Computer Science or Engineering, with a strong foundation in production software architecture.
Experience Requirements
Required Experience: 6–8 Years
- 6–8 Years of total software industry experience, including at least 2–3 years managing engineering teams and technical leads.
- Proven track record of shipping high-availability enterprise applications and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
