Job Overview
Akshora AI Labs is hiring an AI/ML Technical Lead (5–7 Years) to spearhead technical execution across our Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Computer Vision practices. You will partner directly with our AI CTO to architect deterministic, production-grade AI systems.
About the Role
As AI/ML Technical Lead, you will lead a specialized team of ML and Computer Vision engineers building private VPC RAG engines, fine-tuned LLMs, multilingual WhatsApp voice agents, deterministic document OCR pipelines, and NVIDIA Jetson edge vision systems. You will own model selection, quantization strategies, evaluation harnesses, and production inference SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the AI/ML and Computer Vision engineering squad across research, model training, optimization, and production deployment.
- Architect enterprise-grade private RAG pipelines, hybrid vector search systems, and multi-agent LLM workflows.
- Oversee edge computer vision model optimization (YOLO, TensorRT INT8 quantization, DeepStream) on NVIDIA Jetson and GPU servers.
- Establish rigorous evaluation benchmarks for model accuracy, hallucination prevention, and sub-second inference latency.
- Review ML codebases, training pipelines, FastAPI inference microservices, and Docker deployment configurations.
- Mentor Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior ML/CV engineers on applied research and production MLOps best practices.
- Collaborate with enterprise clients during technical discovery to define feasibility metrics and hardware sizing.
Technical & Leadership Requirements
- Deep architectural expertise across both Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, Vector Search) and Deep Learning / Computer Vision inference.
- Strong command of hardware optimization, GPU memory budgeting, model quantization (FP16/INT8), and containerized FastAPI serving.
- Ability to design deterministic validation layers around probabilistic AI models for enterprise reliability.
Team Management Expectations
- Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior Machine Learning and Computer Vision Engineers.
- Conduct architecture reviews, dataset quality audits, and experiment reproducibility checks.
- Guide interns and associate engineers in transitioning from notebook experiments to production-hardened microservices.
Performance Expectations
- Deliver AI/ML systems that meet strict client SLA targets for precision, latency (e.g., <45ms edge vision, <400ms voice/RAG), and uptime.
- Maintain reusable internal AI blueprints, evaluation suites, and deployment runbooks to accelerate 7-to-14-day sprint execution.
- Ensure 100% client data privacy and zero unauthorized external data egress across all AI deployments.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech / MS / Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or equivalent senior applied AI experience.
Experience Requirements
Required Experience: 5–7 Years
- 5–7 Years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP/LLMs, or Computer Vision, with 2+ years leading AI engineers.
- Verifiable track record of deploying complex AI/ML models into live enterprise production environments (cloud VPC or edge hardware).
